Why does life expectancy vary so greatly around the world ?

Im doing this for my social studies cl and we have to compare different countries rich and poor like Zimbabwe and cuba USA and Luxembourg please give me a good response that I could say why life expectancy vary so greatly !!! Thank you it will be greatly appreciated :)
