Do I need to tenderize round steak for stoganoff?

Most the recipes I have looked up don't call for tenderizing the steak however I really don't want it to be tough I was thinking of flouring the meat and browning it in oil then simmering it in beef broth for a hour before adding the other ingredients. What do you think?
