I got a minor ticket and the cop never had me sign it, can I get out of it?

I received a ticket for supposedly following topo close to another vehicle which was crap because the guy behind me was closer to me than i was to the one in front of me and I was pretty far back but he made a drmatic thing of going down and turning around and pulling me over, he took my livcense and what not to his car wrote me a ticket but he never made me sign it at the bottom, is there any way to get out of it?? please help me find online websites that explain how if so, I live in independence missouri and ticket wa given in phelps ,missouri
