Will Empire Total War work on a 15' Mac Book Pro if i run windows on it via Boot Camp?

By the way I got the Mac for my birthday, personally i hate them and think they are overpriced. However, i have one and that is final. If it does work what type of windows should i run on the mac which is best for gaming.
