There has been much new engineering success since the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car?" Millions wanted the VW Beetle decades ago and now we need an little electric car. GM and Ford cannot do it - dumb and dumber. Such small economy electrics would use no gas, be much cheaper and lower auto insurance by a huge amount. I would buy one today if there was a dealer in my state. The gas companies, the insurance companies and the politicians do not want economical electric cars now available in Germany. If all penger cars were replaced, it would only take one-fifth of the power grid. You can buy one overseas that goes 120 miles and reaches 60 mph. Quiet, clean and much cheaper. Detroit wants to build fancy, glamours and very expensive electric cars. The critical opposition is in the U.S. Congress. Lobbys for GM, Exxon and insura
