I am about 728$ in debt, in fact someone ales used my credit and took this money out.?

I called the credit company and reported them and they froze my card. I want to know that what I have to do. Should I go to the Police department and make a police report, Should I pay this money or not? Is it going to be in my record? In addition, what happen if I am not paying this money?what happen if I open a police report fill?
