You want a high spf 30 or better. I gets really hot at that time of the year. In vegas alone it will be in the 100+. Arizona is about 135 in some places. Enjoy your trip and remember to reapply sunscreen often and take a hat and a pair of sungles. Don't forget to carry water at all times. By the way it cools down at night in the desert to about 40 degrees in some areas so don't forget some warm clothes as well. At least a jacket until you adjust.
