DEBATE TOPIC!!!: should high schools in Florida ban remedial cles?

If a student doesn't p the math or reading portion of the FCAT (florida comprehension esment test) they are required to take remedial math/reading cles in school. This means they have to take this course in replace of one of their electives. This causes them to be put behind in their high school credits, which leads to them having to take summer school. What are your opinions? Should Florida high schools ban remedial cles?
