if she says no then it is a no. in the mean time, do not go to the hospital when the kid is born, do not sign anything acknowledging you being the father, do not let her know where you live/work. change your phone number and address if nessesary. they can not make you start paying child support until they serve you with the papers so happy hiding. once they catch up with you (and they will) tell the court she told you it wasn't yours so you stepped aside but now that you know you want to do right by the kid and file for custody/visitation. the higher the % of time you spend with them the less you have to pay. i'm sorry you got caught in this money grubbers trap (but hey maybe the DNA test will clear you when you go to court ask for one just in case). best of luck

I have recently realized that I don't feel like myself anymore, and I am ready to get back to the old me. Should I stay in an unhappy marriage?

My husband and I have been married for 18 years. We have nothing in common. He hasn't been attentive to me and the kids for years. In debt . . . Solution Question?

Last year I took out a loan to consolidate my credit cards. I have been paying it off and now owe $5500. Unfortunately I went on a trip to Europe and one of my Cards is back up to $1500. Since I have to move to go top school I was thinking of taking out an $8000 Loan so I can make smaller payments.$5500 for the old loan, $1500 for my card, and then 1000 for a laptop. My period has gone wonky?

Ever since my son was born, my period has come every 30 days, in the evening 90% of the time, almost like clockwork. This past month I was 5 days late. I was supposed to start on the 1st, I started on the 5th. I thought for sure I was pregnant, but I wasn't. Where I was late starting last month, should I have expected my period on the 1st or should I wait until the 5th to begin to worry? I've never had irregular periods since first starting my period so this is all new to me. Me and my husband are not actively ttc, but if it happens it happens & we would love to have another child. My son's 5th birthday is coming up next month on the 16th. I have been planning a family party for him since January and have talked about it several times with my family members, letting them know the date (the 18th) and the details. My dad, stepmom and 2 of my siblings live around us. My mom and brother live in another state 15 hours away. My sister is in the military halfway across the country. So my sister was planning on coming for his birthday and as an added bonus her birthday is on the 19th. My mom is driving up with my brother since they live in the same area. Off and on my sister has said nothing was set in stone because she is in the army and can be deployed at any time. I let everyone know this. Meanwhile my brother has told me my dad was planning on visiting him sometime in April. Ok, whatever. My younger brother up here also said he had plans for a trip sometime in April. Dates were never mentioned. A week ago my sister said she was definately coming up. A couple days later she called me back and said she was getting deployed and can't come. So I let everyone know the bad news. Yesterday I was visiting with my dad when he told me I ruined his vacation plans by telling my brother that my sister was coming up and so he was coming up and that is when my dad was going to visit him. Umm, why would you go visit him on your grandson's 5th birthday?? Then my younger brother also tells me his vacation plans happened to fall on that same week. wtf??? I've been telling people forever about this and now they drop it on me that they'll all be gone for his birthday? It's like they don't even care. Plus my dad implied that the only reason my brother was coming up was to see my sister, not even for my son's birthday. He has to come up now because he's my mom's ride. 1 time I went to Ruby Tuesdays a few weeks ago. I bought a 1998 Rover 420 gsdi turbo diesel car.Although runs OK the engine hesitates and is jerky aroung 1500-2000 revs.This happens when the engine is cold or hot,going uphill or downhll and never does this either under 1500 revs or over 2000 revs.I have filled the tank so fuel isn't the issue,cleaned and checked the air filter housing and am sure the head gasket is not leaking.Can someone give me any advice?? I won't recommend a specific bike, but try a hybrid bike. They have a more upright riding position, and wheels that are in between mountain bike tires and road bike tires. That's not true. Strong smells can get "embedded" in your lungs and the smell sometimes will come up when you exhale. Other than that, I guess we just get used to the smell of air in our lungs and breathing pages, until a new smell comes in.

I am woman and can't stand the thought of having kids. I guess some people would call me bitter....but honestly I am not. I feel strongly about not having kids because I've had way too many negative experiences with them. And the majority of mothers I see look unhappy and tired and worn out. I have 2 German Shepherds that are, to me, WAY better than kids. They don't scream all day or misbehave. They can entertain themselves and run around the yard all day. I don't have to supervise them 24/7. And they are amazing running partners. I just don't see the point of having kids when so MANY resources are already depleting. What causes my dehumidifier to freeze up?

It is located in a cool basement and the dehumidifier often freezes up solid. If I defrost it with a hair dryer, whiched works marginally, it will only work for a short period of time. What is wrong with our refrigerator?

We have a Maytag model RTD1900DAB refrigerator (which I believe was manufactured in 1994) which has a freezer at the top with an ice maker inside. We have had frequent issues with the ice maker inside the freezer but very few with the freezer or refrigerator themselves. On a regular basis, the ice created by the ice maker will freeze into one large block; we will then pull the ice box out, melt the ice out and melt the ice frozen inside the tube which pours the water into the ice maker which then fixes the problem. Last night, we discovered that the refrigerator was very warm. We pulled the bottom vent off and vacuumed the dust and dog hair out from underneath the refrigerator, closed it back up, then gently pulled the refrigerator out and vacuumed behind it removing the dust and dog hair there as well. We pushed the refrigerator back and were careful to make sure the cords were still plugged in and in tact. We also noticed at this time the ice was frozen in a solid chunk, so we melted it and cleaned that part of the freezer as we usually do. The freezer was still very cold like it should be (still is this morning too), but no change in the refrigerator temperature. In addition, we noticed that only one batch of about six ice cubes was made overnight (which isn't normal). This morning, I noticed that a lot of water is dripping inside the refrigerator now. What could be going on? I can't imagine it's the seal on the refrigerator or freezer door, because it's a sudden problem that's come up. I'm only a 24 year old woman so I don't know how to open the compartments up and check any of the coils. I don't know how this particular refrigerator works but it seems to me that the problem could be with the freezer needing to be defrosted as there is a light frosty deposit on the back interior of the freezer too. Please help! My mother has said that she will probably invest in a new refrigerator soon since this one is so old, but in the meantime are there any quick fixes for this refrigerator?

Has anyone grown Lithops (living stones) ?

I use to grow lithops myself and I think yours got too wet, they prefer the soil to be on the dry side. Keep them inside for now, put the bowl in front of the window and only put them outside when the sun is shining and get them in at night. Another problem could be the soil, cactus soil is not suitable for lithops, there is too much turf in cactus soil and lithops absolutely hate that. So try to find a compost with a minimum of turf and your plants will absolutely enjoy it and hopefully look a lot better soon :)

I am going to answer this from personal experience.In my opinion I would not press the issue of your daughter seeing her dad. he has had his chances and blown them, even a kid can see that.If he calls he calls but I wouldn't let him take her as he has shown to be more than a little irresponsible and she doesn't want to go with him.In the US you would be stripped of your parental rights for this behavior( happened to my cousin although his job out of state didn't help and his ex was very sneaky about it and cruel to the family another story all together). As for your daughter's grandparents I applaud them. They don't have to do what they do but they do because they don't want to see her go with out.They should be allowed to see her as well as her half brother. She will thank you when she gets older and they will too. Why punish them for his bad behavior. That's right you shouldn't. As for her name change the school will not let her go by a known as and neither will the doctor until she has had a legal name change. Seeing as your ex will not allow this(because he'll have to sign off on her) your only option is to have him stripped of his parental rights which can take up to a year.Ask his parents to talk with him. Seeing as he is not paying support or keeping his visits( make sure you doent all of this you'll need it for court) he really should do it on his own then he would have no legal ties to her. The only problem that I have with this is the fact that his parents have been so good to you. Is it possible he would sign off and then her name change would include a combo of her current surname and that of her new step father? So say if her name is Smith now it would become Smith-Jones for example.That way you aren't hurting the parents that have helped you so much over the years when he has been so unwilling. something to think about.As I said before regardless of what you do let her grandparents and half brother see her but I wouldn't let him take her because of his past behavior and because she doesn't want to go. I wouldn't even tell her that he has a visit coming up or a phone call is expected because if he doesn't follow through it just hurts her and she doesn't deserve that.If she doesn't know she can't be disappointed and hurt by him.
